Jethu proved to me that the definition for Grand Uncle is another word for “Great Uncle”. But Jethu was so much more than that to me. He saw World Cup matches with me, talked to me about cricket and football. He promised to take me to the Chelsea Football Stadium. He was so proud of my football medals and always asked about my matches. He took me shopping for football things in London and made sure every minute of my visit to his house was comfortable. I don’t know how he knew, but he knew I loved sausages and even though he was in great pain he made sure I always had the best sausages. Jethu and I may have lived far apart from each other but he was always in my heart and thats where he always will be.
May his Soul Rest in Peace. I know I can never eat sausages again for the rest of my life without thinking of him :)
